Hair transplant is a surgical procedure that involves moving hair follicles from one part of the body, usually the back or sides of the head (known as the donor site), to the bald or thinning areas (known as the recipient site). It is primarily used to treat male and female pattern baldness, but it can also be performed to restore hair in other areas of the body, such as the eyebrows, eyelashes, beard, and chest.

Types of Hair Transplant

FUT

This is first generation hair transplant surgical procedure which consists of a small incision and a part of scalp is separated. Later that part is sutured. Than implantation is done in recipient area.

CURRENTLY THIS METHOD IS DISCARDED BECAUSE OF LOT OF COMPLICATIONS.



FUE

It is 2nd generation hair transplant technique. Follicular unit extraction is a very common method of hair transplant.FOLLICULAR UNIT EXTRACTION= Bigger & manual Punches are used for extraction. Extracted grafts are kept in NS than implanted in recipient area under local anaesthesia.

BIO FUE

This is an advance version of FUE. BIO FUE is 3rd Generation Technique. This better defines the 2 main factors of an FUE procedure i.e. incision (Separation of the follicular unit from the surrounding tissue) and extraction (Plucking of the follicular unit from the scalp once it is separated). it is less time taking as compared to FUE. BIO FUE comprises with a 3 step technique.
